Quinn started Immerse in 2017 after living in the Middle East for two years as a refugee aid worker. He traveled to nearly 50 countries by his 23rd birthday and is obsessed with foreign languages and cultures. He started his first company when he was fifteen and loved studying Economics at Pepperdine University. His favorite things outside of Immerse and the Middle East include Mexican food, his girlfriend Evelyn, and sailing on yachts with venture capitalists.
Jacob is the builder of the bunch. He was bit by the entrepreneurial bug way back in junior high and has been crafting products ever since. A fellow Pepperdine Wave, Jacob spent a year with the XPRIZE Foundation before helping found Immerse. When he’s not building our product, he’s probably daydreaming about scaling the world’s tallest mountains, hanging out in Kenya with his awesome wife Cassie, or drawing up plans for his future treehouse home.
All Christian dreams about is getting more people stoked on Immerse. When he’s not dazzling us with his karaoke skills or acting as camp counselor for our interns, he’s shepherding his flock of 80 junior highers with his wife Mackenzie (or challenging Dylan in ping pong). He holds a B.S. in Finance and Theatre from Concordia Irvine and is privileged to be play the role of team ambassador.
Rickie is a lifelong learner who loves to use education as a tool to empower others. She earned a B.A. in English Literature, and is in the process of completing her M.A. in Education. When she’s not managing all things training, she can be found heating up her gluten free lunch in the staff kitchen, and postulating on how to make the world a better place.
Jonas, our resident programming wizard, enjoys doing techy things that none of us can understand, getting the most bang for his buck at Panda Express, and taking care of his expecting wife. Before joining Immerse, Jonas earned his B.S. in Computer Science from UCI. He is the commander in chief of creating the our powerful web and mobile platform.
Dylan is a virtual reality developer who loves creating things that don’t yet exist and making them as cool as they are functional. For fun, he likes riding his motorcycle, chainsaw carving, and beating everyone in office ping pong. Dylan completed his B.S. in Business Management and has done extensive studies on Virtual Reality development.
Mal loves languages. Having lived on four separate continents, he is confident in at least one truth: language breaks down barriers. After spending his first year out of college working in China, he has become increasingly enticed with all things Asia, whether it be the culture, the people or the history. He is so pumped to be introducing VR language learning to all corners of the globe.
